Portrait of Zakaria El Boukhari

I help organizations transform ideas into memorable brands, campaigns and digital experiences.

Not a menu of services, but a set of muscles that work together on every project, from the first strategy deck to the shipped animation.

A complete brand system for a charity lottery: a custom playing-card cast of characters, a mark that works from a bus wrap to an Instagram tile, and a campaign that had to read instantly to strangers on the street.

Every project moves through the same spine. The details change, the discipline doesn't.

Problem

Push past the brief as written to find the problem actually underneath it, and who's really feeling it.

Zak brought a high level of creativity and innovation to our projects, producing designs that were visually stunning and on-brand. He has an impressive ability to take a concept and turn it into a beautiful and effective design.

Théophile Granier

Director of Strategy

He moved us from flat, static content to a dynamic, engaging strategy that captured the energy of our college. Zakaria is a true multiskilled creative — his photography skills are outstanding, and he managed all of our social platforms with a strategic eye.

I'm Zakaria El Boukhari, a multidisciplinary creative director based in Ottawa, trained as an illustrator, shaped by agency life, and pulled toward the strategy side of every brief I've worked on.

That's meant building brand systems for institutional and government-funded programs where clarity has to survive translation and bureaucracy, directing campaigns for global consumer brands, and picking up the tools myself (illustration, motion, packaging, code) whenever a project needed a hand that understood both the concept and the craft.

Working across bilingual institutional communication and international projects taught me that a strong idea still has to be re-earned in every new market, every new audience, every new format. That's the work I care about: not just making something look good, but making sure it still means something once it leaves the deck.
